In Innoplus, users can use a free draw platform to create a sloped ceiling, add a window and then create a dormer using the cut tool. This method is useful when the user wishes to add a window that only partially intersects with the roof slope.

Drawing the platform
In 2D view:
- Use the View picker, located in the bottom right corner of the screen, to select a wall perpendicular to where the user desires the roof slope.
- Under the Build tab, select Free draw platform.
- Using the Free draw platform tool, draw a triangle by left-clicking three points in the top right or top left corner of the current view, depending on which wall the roof slope is to be located.
- Click Finished.
- In the Platform window, click OK.

Adjusting the platform
In 3D view:

Right-click the platform and select Change sizes.
- Adjust the Height, Depth and Length of the platform to the desired dimensions.
| Note: In this case, the Height of the platform determines the length along the wall. If necessary, you can also adjust the location of the platform, by right-clicking and selecting Positioning. |
Adding the window
| Note! If the Windows file card is not already open, in the Assistant box, select the Catalogue tab, followed by the Standard tab. Under Building elements, double-click the Windows file card. |
In 3D view:
- Select the Windows file card, located on the left side of the screen, and locate the desired window.

Left-click and drag the desired window onto the wall behind the platform and release to place.
- In the Insert building element window, adjust the Size and Position of the Window and click OK.
| Note! To remove the windowsill, in the Insert building element window, click Adjust parameters. In the Component parameter window, untick Window sill, click Apply and then click OK. |
Cutting the dormer

In 3D view:
- In the Assistant box, select the View tab and then click the Turn and rotate icon:

Rotate the design to view the back of the platform.
- Under the Build tab, select Cut object.

Left-click the back of the platform.
- Select the Turn and rotate icon again.

Rotate the design to view the front of the platform.
- In the Assistant box, click Turn and rotate Cancel (Esc).
- Left-click the window.
