In Innoplus, to give a bathroom a polished look and elevate a design, tiles and joints can be aligned to create a sleek and coherent look. They can also be aligned to other elements like walls, platforms or furniture. This can be achieved by using the automatic Align area group function, by editing the tile area manually, rotating tiles against a reference line or by using Snap points.
Align Area Group
After tiling the two areas,
- Click on the tile area you want to change.
- Click on Align area group in the Assistant box on the right side of the screen.
- Hover over the tile area you want to align the first tile area to. It will be highlighted in red.
- Click once to align the tile area.
Edit Tile Area
- Click on the tile area you want to edit.
- Click on Edit tile area in the Assistant box.
- Use the controls in the opening window to adjust the tile area.
The tiles can be rotated, moved forwards/backwards or sideways and the Joint width can be changed. - Click OK to confirm the changes.
Rotation against
A reference line is required to use this alignment method. This could be for example a platform or an internal wall.
- Click on the tile area.
- Click on Edit tile area in the Assistant box.
- Click on the Advanced>> button in the Edit tile area window.
- Click Horizontal Edge or Vertical Edge, depending on the orientation of the reference line.
- Hover over the reference line until it is highlighted in red and click once.
- Click OK to confirm the changes.
Snap points
Point to Point
- Click on the tile area.
- Click on Edit tile area in the Assistant box.
- Click on the Advanced>> button in the Edit tile area window.
- Choose Point to Point.
- Without closing the window, click on the first snap point.
- Choose the second point (the first snap point will be moved to this position) by clicking on it.
The tiles are now aligned to this second snap point.
Note: Change the type of snap point by choosing it in the Assistant box (See also How to use the snap point tool and Commonly used snapping points and how to use them). - Click OK to confirm the changes.
Centre aligning Point-Point
A reference object is needed for this method, for example an internal wall or a wash basin.
- Click on the tile area.
- Click on Edit tile area in the Assistant box.
- Click on the Advanced>> button in the Edit tile area window.
- Choose Centre aligning Point-Point.
- Click on the outer corners of the reference object that the tile area should be aligned to.
- Click OK to confirm the changes.
