In Innoplus, using Tile bonds is a fast method to create a pattern with your chosen tiles. They are templates that are first placed in the clipboard and then adapted to your choices, for example, to create a chevron, also known as herringbone, pattern. For a tutorial on how to create a rosette pattern, see Tile Bonds.
Note! Before starting, you should place the desired tiles for the design in the clipboard.
In the Assistant box, located on the right side of the screen:
- Under the Catalogues > Standard tabs, expand the Tiles > Tile bonds sections.
- Double-click one of the Bond x tiles folders to open the file card on the left side of the screen.
Note: The number of user defined tiles in a template is indicated by the number on the folder, for example, templates in the Bond 4 tiles folder each have four tiles than can be changed by the user. - In the Assistant box, select the Clipboard tab. Then, click and drag the desired tile bond from the open file card to the clipboard.
- Double-click on the tile bond thumbnail in the the clipboard to open the Assign tiles in the bond window.
- Drag the desired tile or tiles from the clipboard into the tile preview box, located at the top right of the Assign tiles in the bond window. If you are using a tile bond template with more than one changeable tile, you can use the box located at the top left to select which tile in the pattern to overwrite.
- Click OK.
You can now drag and drop the amended tile bond template from the clipboard into the plan as required.
Note! To retain the template on your clipboard for next time, ensure Save clipboard contents is enabled. For more information, see Why is my clipboard empty every time I open the program?
