If the clipboard is empty when you restart the program, the icon Save clipboard contents is not activated.
- Select the Clipboard tab which is on the right-hand side of your screen.
- Click on the Save clipboard contents icon once.
- It will now be highlighted in green, which means it will always keep items added to it for use in later sessions.
