Innoplus includes different tile types which are used for different functions in a design. Tiles can be redefined into other types to fit the requirements of a tiling design.
Tile types
Ground tiles/Basic tiles
Ground tiles (in catalogues), also called basic tiles (in Properties), are normal tiles used to tile a floor or wall. If placed in the plan, they will cover the whole area on which they were dropped.
Floor tiles
Floor tiles are Ground tiles intended for tiling the floor. They can also be placed on a wall.
Wall tiles
Wall tiles are Ground tiles intended for tiling the wall. They can also be placed on a floor.
Border tiles
When Border tiles are placed in an area, they automatically create a border. The type of border can be edited with the Create border function or the Border settings: How to use the border function.
Décor tiles
Décor tiles are used to create designs within an existing tiled area. They can be placed individually, as corner tiles or over a whole area. For more information on Décor tiles, see also How to use décor tiles.
Changing a tile type
- This can be done on the Clipboard or on an open file card.
- Right-click on the text underneath the tile and select Properties.
- Under Tile type select Basic tile, Border or Decor.
- Click OK.
Note: If you used the Clipboard, but you want permanent availability of the redefined tile, add it to an open file card, via drag and drop, or create a new file card: How to create user defined file cards.
