In Innoplus, the Cut object tool has several advanced functions:

Depth of the cut
This function allows the user to define the depth of the cut.
In 3D view:
- On the Build tab or the Furnishing tab, click the Cut object icon:
- Move the cursor over the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in red.
- Left-click to select the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in green.
- Under the General tab, uncheck Intersect completely.
Note: Leaving this function enabled will cut completely through the selected object. - Move the cursor over the face of the reference object, which will be the shape used for the cut. The direction of the face of the reference object will also define the direction of the cut. The face will be highlighted in blue.
Note: Under the Catalogues tab and the Standard Catalogues tab, go Building elements > Model for a selection of shapes that can be placed into the plan for use as reference objects. - Left-click the reference object to confirm.
- In Depth of cut, specify the depth of the cut in metres.
- Click OK.
Apply face
This function allows the user to select any surface face of any object as the reference for the cut. For example, How to use the tile area function.
In 3D view:
- On the Build tab or the Furnishing tab, click the Cut object icon:
- Move the cursor over the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in red.
- Left-click to select the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in green.
- Under the General tab, select Enter face > Apply face.
- Move the cursor over the face on the reference object. The face will be highlighted in red.
Note: Under the Catalogues tab and the Standard Catalogues tab, go Building elements > Model for a selection of shapes that can be placed into the plan for use as reference objects. - Left-click to confirm.
Apply contour
This function allows the user to select any contour or edge of any object as the reference for the cut.
In 3D view:
- On the Build tab or the Furnishing tab, click the Cut object icon:
- Move the cursor over the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in red.
- Left-click to select the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in green.
- Under the General tab, select Enter face > Apply contour
- Move the mouse over the edge or contour on the reference object. The edge or contour will be highlighted in red.
Note: Under the Catalogues tab and the Standard Catalogues tab, go Building elements > Model for a selection of shapes that can be placed into the plan for use as reference objects. - Left-click to confirm.
Contour selection
This function allows the user to user to draw a contour from any object as the reference for the cut.
In 3D view:
- On the Build tab or the Furnishing tab, click the Cut object icon:
- Move the cursor over the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in red.
- Left-click to select the face of the object that is to be cut. The face will be highlighted in green.
- Under the General tab, select Enter face > Contour selection.
- Move the mouse over the contour on the reference object. The contour will be highlighted in red. The snap point will be highlighted with a red square.
Note: Under the Catalogues tab and the Standard Catalogues tab, go Building elements > Model for a selection of shapes that can be placed into the plan for use as reference objects. - Left-click to confirm.
- Move the mouse to the second snap point. The point will be highlighted with a red square.
- Left-click to confirm.
- The user now has several options:
To make the cut using the highlighted contour as the reference, under the General tab, select Finished!
To draw an arc and make the cut using the drawn arc, select Insert arc. Select Finished! to confirm.
To draw a curve and make the cut using the drawn arc, select Insert curve. Select Finished! to confirm.
