Many bathrooms require different heights of tiles in different areas of a wall. For example, it is common that the shower area is to be tiled to room height and the rest of the wall to half height.
Using the Cut joint function in the Tiles tab, tile a whole wall and then cut the section where you want a different height. Once deleting the cut tiles, re-tile at a new defined height.
Tip: Use the View picker to view the wall you are working on.
- Tile the complete wall.
- On the Tiles tab, click the Cut joint icon.
- Click on the fully tiled wall. The selected area is now highlighted in green.
Note: The cuts made will need to complete as a shape. If removing a whole section of a tiled wall, only two points need to be made, the top and the bottom. - Click to select the start point of the cut.
- With another click, select the endpoint of the cut. Both areas must be completely separated from each other.
- Click on Finished! in the Assistant box.
- Click on the area of tiles that is not supposed to have the original tiling height and press Delete.
- Go to the Settings tab in the Assistant box.
- Click on Basic tiling.
- Use either Rows or in height from … to to define the new tiling height.
- Place new tiles on the non-tiled area.
