In Innoplus you can quickly and easily insert windows and doors into your plan and place windows and doors along an exterior wall. For windows, this function also works for sloping walls, allowing you to place slanted windows.
| Note! If you wish to place a door on an interior wall, you cannot use an Internal wall. You must add another External wall inside your plan. |
Under the Build tab, in either a 2D or a 3D view:
- Click the Building elements icon:
- In the Assistant box, located to the right of your screen, Under the Catalogue > Standard tabs, double-click on the Doors and Windows folders to open the file cards on the left of your screen.
-
Drag and drop the door or window from the associated file card onto the desired wall.
The distances to either side are displayed in red and blue, helping you to position the window or door precisely.
- Once placed, the Insert building element dialog will open. Here you can:
- Adjust the Size, changing the Width and Height.
- Adjust the Positioning, including the hinging and the location of the handle.
- Click Adjust parameter to open the Component parameter dialog to adjust the size, frame width, windowsill, and handle style.
- Once you have made your adjustments, click OK.
| Note: You can reposition the object after placement by just dragging it into a new position or using the centre positioning function. For more information, see How to use the Centre positioning function. |
