In Innoplus, you can use a 2D .DXF file to create a floorplan. Using an imported .DXF file as a template allows you to use the existing room corner points, so you don't need to calculate wall lengths and angles between the walls.
1. Importing a .DXF template
- Open Innoplus and, on the main menu screen, click Import floor plan.
- Locate the .DXF file and click Open.
- Click on a red coloured edge, for example, a wall, and enter the unit of measurements used for the dimensions.
| Note: This specifies a reference dimension because, in a CAD program, .DXF files can be exported in millimetres, centimetres or metres. |
2. Building the walls
Under the Build tab:
- Click on either the Wall 2 points icon or the Wall sequence icon:
- Adjust the wall settings as required, for example wall height and thickness, before tracing out the layout.
The length of the walls is calculated automatically.
- When all required walls have been added, click Finished in the assistant box.
- If required, you can add doors and windows using the template as a guide for placement.
3. Hiding the template
Under the Build tab:
- Click the Import floor plan icon:
- Uncheck the Display template box.
| Note! The template is still available within Innoplus. To display it again, tick the Display template box. |
