The Edit floor plan function is an option selected when starting a new plan (Draw floor plan), or chosen when editing an existing floor plan is required.
This function allows you to draw walls and update the existing walls. You can also change wall thickness, delete walls, adjust knee wall heights and adjust the direction of walls and roof pitch. The Insert diagonal function can also be used in Edit floor to confirm specific measurements made from corner-to-corner.
The example below details updating the floor plan of a predefined room in Innoplus version 12.0.2170, with roof pitch > Rectangle with opposite slants selected:
Opening Edit floor
- Click Build in the Menu bar.
- Click the Edit floor plan icon in the tool bar.
A new tab, Floor plan, will now open in the plan window. From here you will be able click in the plan to draw new walls, and to change and update a selected wall setting in the right-hand panel - the Assistant box.
Drawing walls
Once Edit floor plan is open, the cursor will be ready to draw in the plan.
-
Click at any point inside the plan to place the first part of the wall.
If you are starting a wall from an existing wall, hover the cursor over the wall face. By default this is the side of the wall facing inside the room:
The wall face will become highlighted, and the cursor will show a circle to signify that your new drawn wall will connect to the existing wall.
-
Move the mouse and the drawn wall will expand to wherever the cursor hovers.
If it is connecting with any wall, the cursor will show the connection with a circle again.
-
Click to place the end part of the wall.
